The timeless subject of the artist self-portrait is explored across a range of mediums in this group exhibition featuring work by contemporary artists and SCAD students and alumni. The artworks on view go beyond representations of artist likeness, using the artist-self as a starting point to interrogate issues such as ego, labor, technology, identity politics and family. These artists probe the question of what defines self-portraiture within the limitless domain of contemporary art.
